Icelanders are friendly and welcoming, with a very small population, of around 350,000 people. Therefore ‘everyone knows everyone’. Everyone is also related to everyone in a sense. Iceland might look intimidating, thanks to its explosive geography, but it is actually an unusually peaceful and laid back place. Violent crime is famously low.
“Þetta reddast”: It will all work out It is used in Iceland for anything from daily affairs to larger life events that implies using your time and energy on a productive way of fixing the problem rather than on lamenting. The Zen-like stance, very much reflected in the weather which is unpredictable, reflects the attitude that there is much out of our control anyways.
Icelandic weather produces a lot of waterfalls and rainbows but also brings challenges; storms with extreme winds and rain- or snowfall are frequent, and weather changes can be sudden. Although the climate can be harsh, it is milder than you would expect from the country’s name and global position at high latitudes. A branch of the Gulf current brings warmer seas up to the south and west coast.

Northern Lights TourThis fascinating natural phenomenon known as the Northern Lights, is one of the most mesmerizing sights you will ever come across in your lifetime. The dancing colors and shapes in the dark arctic sky will simply leave you awestruck.
Firstly, your expert Northern Lights guide will pick you up at your selected pick up location.(or the nearest bus stop) On the search for the Northern Lights you will travel through some of Iceland's most spectacular natural sights by night time with a very informative guide. Please note: As the success of the Northern Lights Explorer tour is heavily dependent on weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel departures up until 18:15 on the day of the tour. If the tour goes ahead and no northern lights are seen we offer clients the chance to join another evening's departure free of charge upon availability. Note that you need to contact us to re-book. Please note The Northern Lights are natural phenomena that are difficult to predict, but our guides do everything in their power to make sure you see the lights. What do I need to bring? Warm layers, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear, gloves, scarves, water bottle, snacks and a small backpack is always useful. Strong hiking boots are absolutely essential, ice crampons are provided for your glacier walk, it is not possible to fit them to any other kind of footwear. |

Golden Circle TourToday you will explore the famous Golden Circle route!
Thingvellir National Park Besides being a natural wonder, it is also the sight where the world’s longest continuously run parliament was founded and still running some good 1.000 years later, but now as Althingi in Reykjavik. Thingvellir is also a site of geological wonders, as it lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic ridge. You can clearly see the rift and how the movement of the tectonic plates pulls the island apart, approximately 2,5 cm every year. *Please note that Thingvellir national park charges parking fees on designated parking areas around the assembly site. Kerid Crater Kerid is a 55m deep and 270m wide volcanic crater that is beautifully streaked with red earth and green mosses, with a turquoise-blue mineral water lake to complete a fantastic spectacle. It’s even possible to walk down a pathway to the crater’s bottom for a better look. *Entrance fee not included Gullfoss waterfall The waterfall which gives the Golden circle its name. It is mostly known for its’ beauty, but the sheer power of it has also been the cause of much debate on hydro-plants vs tourism and land preservation. Geysir Geothermal area The dormant geyser Geysir, is the one and only geyser that gave all other geysers their name! It is no longer active, but Strokkur geyser erupts every 20 minutes or so, and can reach heights up to 25 meters!

A spectacular view over Faxaflói Bay and the capital region, Bláfjöll mountain range and Esja await you. The total is dependent on a group travel rate and are subject to change if the participation falls below a number consistent on a group. I further acknowledge that I have been advised to purchase travel insurance to protect my investment. All payments to LH Fun Travel are non-refundable and non-transferable. In an effort to negotiate the best experience and price, our travel partners do not provide refunds.
Prices: are subject to change without notice. Please make your reservations today at this price to be locked in.
Roommate: You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments. We will make every effort to notify you if your roommate is no longer complaint with our payment policy.
Monthly payments: Your invoice will clearly note your payment plan and as a courtesy we will provide monthly electronic reminders.
Changes: In Flight, Hotels and Transfers: LH Fun Travel will make every effort to operate all tours as printed in the itinerary, digital brochures, flyers and on the website. However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are deemed to be necessary for any reason.
Airline: IF flights are included in the trip, please note that flight changes are at the discretion of the airline, therefore LH Fun Travel reserves the right to make airline modifications as we see fit to accommodate our clients. Seat assignments ARE at the discretion of airlines. Seats for the group tour are only located in economy class .
Last Minute Reservations: All reservations must be made no later than 60 days prior to departure. If requested services cannot be confirmed, payment will be refunded. If services are confirmed, final payment is due within 24 hours and all applicable cancellation penalties will apply.
Name Changes: Name changes are not permitted, name corrections will carry a fee of $100.00 and this information must be received in writing 40-days prior to departure or as specified by the airline.
